                                                        Panjab

Punjab is the most developed, most populous, and most prosperous province of Pakistan.[5][6] Lahore has been the capital of Punjab for a thousand years; it is Punjab's main cultural, historical, administrative and economic center.[7] Punjab has been the gateway of the Indian subcontinent for the invaders from GreeceCentral AsiaIran andAfghanistan.[8] Due to its stategic location, Punjab has been part of various empires and dynasties throughout history, including the Indus Valley CivilizationAryansKushans,ScythiansPersiansArabsTurksGhaznavidsTimuridsMughalsAfghansSikhs and theBritish.
The Greeks referred to Punjab as Pentapotamia, an inland delta of five converging rivers.[8] InAvesta, the sacred text of Zoroastrians, the Punjab region is associated with the ancienthapta həndu or Sapta Sindhu, the Land of Seven Rivers.[9] The British used to call Punjab"Our Prussia."
                                                        Sindh
The province of Sindh and the people inhabiting the region had been designated after the river known in ancient times as the Sindhu River, now known as the Indus River. In Sanskrit,síndhu (सिन्धु) means "river, stream", and refers to the Indus river in particular. The Greeks who conquered Sindh in 325 BC under the command of Alexander the Great rendered it as Indós, hence the modern Indus. When the Britishconquered South Asia in the 17th century, they expanded the term and applied the name to the entire region of South Asia and called it India.
The Indus Valley civilization is the farthest visible outpost of archaeology in the abyss of prehistoric times. The prehistoric site of Kot Diji in Sindh has furnished information of high significance for the reconstruction of a connected story which pushes back the history of South Asia by at least another 200 years, from about 2500 BC.
                        Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Urduخیبر پختونخوا [ˈxɛːbər pəxˈt̪uːŋkʰwaː]Pashtoخیبر پښتونخوا[xaibər paʂtuŋxwa], locally [paxtuŋxwa]), previously known as the North-West Frontier Province, Kunta-Punta[citation needed] and various other names, is one of the four provinces of Pakistan, located in the north-west of the country. It borders Afghanistan to the north-west,Gilgit-Baltistan to the north-east, Pakistan administered Kashmir to the east, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) to the west and south and Punjab and the Islamabad Capital Territory to the south-east.
The main ethnic group in the province is the Pashtuns; other smaller ethnic groups include most notably the Hazarewals and Chitralis. The principal languages are Pashto, locally referred to as Pukhto.
The provincial capital is Peshawar, locally referred to as Pekhawar.

                                                Balochistan
Balochistan (BalochiUrduبلوچستانBrahuiBalocistán) is the largest province (by area) ofPakistan, constituting approximately 44% of the total land mass of Pakistan. According to the 1998 census, Balochistan had a population of roughly 6.6 million.[2]
Its neighbouring regions are Iran to the west; Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the north; and Punjab and Sindh to the east. To the south lies the Arabian Sea. The main languages in the province are BalochiBrahuiPashto and Urdu.[3] The provincial capital isQuetta and Gwadar is the developing port city. The Baloch and Pashtun people constitute the two major ethnic groups; a mixed ethnic stock, mainly of Sindhi origin, forms the third major group (Sindhi Baloch).[3] Balochistan is rich in mineral resources; it is the second major supplier of natural gas in Pakistan.
